CPS, the group I am in has signed up for a year long investigation of this building. We were really lead to believe this place was very active. Insanely so. My first watch there was actually during a cold clear morning. Not a prime time for investigating, but it had a reputation for being equally if not more active during the day.
You can find a huge amount of history from the owner here. There is more than this even, however a shortened version for those without hours to go through, it is a former livestock exchange for the west, a haven for old gambling den and other nefarious activities. Later it was the mental health clinic, not often a stay over, but electro-shock and who knows what was used. It has seen a triple murder and three suicides, plus at least one other death. The stone is full of a type of crystal, and an underground stream runs under the building. Many sights, evps, and physical contact have been reported. My favorite story is that while the owner was running a Halloween haunted house, they were reported to Child services for having a child crawl, exorcist style down a stair case. No children WERE used and the staircase was off limits to patrons. The same girl has been seen very often and indeed looks solid.
I found my investigation disappointing while I was there, though it is a beautiful building. the owner has had the light fixtures restored. and hopefully more of the building will follow.
However the EVPs in this building did not disapoint! I'll share the best I have so far. I encourage comments and possitive and negative responses. If you can explain any evidence I post I welcome it! It's not about the trophy EVP or picture, It's about the truth!
The first one is very clear, there was no one outside.
The second is a direct reply to being asked to repeat a noise.
This one may have to do with livestock? there was none around, just very old pens.
This one I had asked if they wanted their stories told, I hear the "Me and" part the last one I think is Rebecca, because she is Supposedly the girl ghost.
This one is long, you hear a slow voice say "Oh them again, and he continues to talk as we pass through the lobby, and at the end it sounds like 'wonderful box.'
This one is in the lobby, I left it and we went into another room to do more evp work. I thought since they were being coy I might catch something in an empty room. Seems they were on to me, though.
I have a dozen or more and I'm not done with going through it yet. And it's just mine, not the other group members. If anyone is interested I'll post more!
We are going back the middle of January so I hope to have more on this amazing building!
